I've had my Camponotus pennsylvanicus for a while now, so I figured I'd make a journal about them.
I found my queen in May (I think) by breaking open a piece of firewood to look for ants. She had no brood or anything.
At some time in late July, she had her first nanitic. Last night, she had 6, but a seventh one eclosed since then. Here's a picture of them:

I just got back from a 10 day vacation, and now I have 11 workers!
