Tetramorium are fairly aggressive. They do sting humans, but our skin is too thick for them to penetrate. I wouldn't attempt a feeding of Tetramorium just to be on the safe side.

My colony is about 1 year old now!!! YAY! I have no idea how many ants I have. They fill about 1/2 of my hybrid nest.
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Re: tetramorium journal
I'm hoping to catch a Tetramorium sp. queen in the coming weeks. I've been trying to look up some information on when the best time would be to look for these Queens. So far I have found all the Queen's I want except for a Solenopsis invicta (or richteri) Queen but if I can catch one of these gals I would be just as happy as they are fast growing as well.

Re: tetramorium journal
I've seen tetramorium queens these past day or two on my walks. I didn't bother with them since there are super plentiful in my area and I already have a thriving tetramorium colony. I haven't had much luck this year in finding any species that don't fall under the beginner category. The only other species I currently have is a Lasius Neoniger with only two workers. I would really like one of the "cool" species, but, oh well.xTNxANTMANx wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2017 11:48 pmI'm hoping to catch a Tetramorium sp. queen in the coming weeks.
