I have my first colony of about 30 or so workers in an omninest. Iridomyrmex species I captured in Sydney Australia. I am 13.
I have just noticed mould growing on the rubbish dump, and the colony is all huddled up in a corner of the omninest in a way I haven't seen before.
Is this bad?
What should I do?
I would attach a great photo except I am getting "file too big" on my iPad and don't know how to fix that.

Ok first you relly need to get them off the iPad and onto your computer. Use iTunes for that. Once you have then on the computer you need to upload them to a photo share/storage site (something like PhotoBucket) and once there you can then link to them in your posts.
Here's a forum post I did containing a video about how to post pics.

Re: Mold/Mould on rubbish dump, colony huddled in corner
Ok, my dad helped me share the picture on Google Drive.
Hopefully you can view it here:

Since the photo I have just cleaned it up with a wet cotton bud (Q tip?).
It's better but it is coming back in a few places.
How do I manage Mold in a colony?
And is there a way to encourage them to put the rubbish dump in the outworld?

I suggest springtails. They are very effective at cleaning mold and aren't harmful to the ants. You can find them in your yard or order the online.

The ants dont harm these bugs? I havent moved my Queen to her new home yet b\c she is only 6 strong. But if I get mold its nice to know there is a bug I can use to clean it up lol good luck with ur mold problem.
