Tetramorium queen test tube heat

I have a queen setup in a test tube sitting in a very dark area but i leave windows open night and day. During the night it gets low 50s high 40s here in upstate ny and i wanted to make sure she was warm enough to stay active and lay eggs.

I purchased a 15 watt 11.5ft reptile heating cable and doubled up the end and have it touching just the water part of the test tube.

Does anyone have concerns for this setup? Thanks in advance for the help.

Heres her setup tube setup.

I decided after reading some forums and other peoples experience i got both mixed opinions so i decided that i should just place it near the test tube and not directly on it and since itd in a coinfined space it will help keep it warm without over heating.

I will post a picture in the next day or two of how i have the heat cable, as i dont want to stress her out too much in one day.
