Noob needs help with camponotus pennsylvanicus

So I'm new to ant keeping.

I have a Formica subsericea queen with 1 worker and some larva that I purchased.

I have 2 colonies of what I'm pretty sure is Montimorium Minimum that I dug out of the ground that are doing OK.

While splitting firewood a few weeks ago I happened upon what I believe is camponotus pennsylvanicus queen in a small chamber with 5-6 larva and no workers. I put her and her larva in a test tube setup and she is not happy. She pulled a lot of the cotton out trying to escape but finally gave up, then ate her brood. I have been leaving her alone in a dark quiet area and checking as infrequently as possible but her test tube is starting to get mold on the cotton. I'm tryin to coax her into a new, fresh test tube.

What should I do next? From what I have read the recommended course of action is leave her along and pray she calms down and starts laying eggs. Any advice other than this?
