Test-tube “chamber” size and humidity
I just caught a Formica queen last Thursday. I also have a Tetramorium sp.E queen and was wondering if the size of the “chamber” inside the test tube setup really matters. The Formica queen seems comfortable in the center, but the Tetramorium seems to want to hang out on the end opposite to the water. I know they are dry-loving species. Should I move the breather/cap cotton farther from the water?

I think anywhere from 3-5cm chamber is fine. The humidity is something the test tube does itsellf and i think just a normal test tube should just be fine
