I see there's a lot of tips on how to care for and hibernate your nest, but Winter Ants, False Honeypot Ants, prenolepis imparis, whatever you want to call them, don't hibernate in the 'regular' way. Because these guys go through estivation in the summer, how do you care for that instead? I haven't found any tips or anything of the like about this yet, and I'm looking into getting my own colony of these guys.
To anyone that knows, your help would be greatly appreciated!
Winter Ants and Estivation?

Re: Winter Ants and Estivation?
So with my colony, I feed them until some storage ants fill up full and then the food collecting slows down, I then put them in an above room temp area to kick their clock into check and then make sure they have enough water, in the winter I then keep them in a basement or fridge in the winter to stimulate the temp, good luck, how big is your colony?
