Earthworms as a cleanup crew?
New Englander here. I have a lasius neoniger queen who's just about ready to start her colony. I know I'm getting ahead of myself here (she hasn't even layed eggs), but will earthworms serve well as a cleanup crew or will the ants just eat them? I've seen AntsCanada do it, so I was wondering if it would work in a small terrarium once the colony is large enough to be moved out of the test tube setup. If not I'll stick to springtails and isopods, which are quite abundant in this spring weather!
