Prenolepis Imparis colony a bit over one year old.

All of the workers seem to have died within the past week.

The colony had been almost out of water and I placed a new tube in the enclosure for them to move to but they never did (original now completely dry), I fed them store bought crickets usually and honey.

The queen is still alive, and seems fairly healthy to my inexperienced eye, she also recently laid eggs.

I have taken the cotton off her tube, and placed the exit almost directly against the fresh tube's cotton ball in the hopes she would finally move but she is staying near her dry cotton ball.

The workers are all dead inside the tube among her new eggs.

tl;dr Mass worker death, queen seems okay and laid new eggs recently. What do I do?

maybe you should try feeding the queen. If you're going to try to start a new colony.

My theory of death is probably something out of your hands like mites or bacteria.
