myrmica queen found outside her own nest

I was looking, for once again, at one of the nests in my garden today when I suddenly saw a queen walk out of the nest. She walked about four meters away from her nest and didn't seem to return to her nest. Ok, so first of all: most of the myrmica species are polygynous, so there would normally be more queens still in that nest. Secondly: I had a queen of the exact same species, but she died  . So I caught her. But I'm questioning some things, like if it's allowed to take queens from another nest even if there would be other queens. That I don't disrupt the eco-system. And why that queen just walked out of her nest like that. There already were workers, so she normally didn't have to catch her food herself anymore.

Thanks if you could respond on my questions.

So I should just take it for myself then. Thanks for the response. :D

yeah the colony would never have let the actual queen (or a really fertile queen) outside. if the queen is a reject she would most likely die on her own.

if the queen did not have wings and it came out of the nest when their is no nuptial flight the queen is most likely fertile but just not enough for the wild colony
