(Important) Where should I keep my ant queen?

I can keep her in my garage or in my bedroom. The problem lies on teh fact that I am worried she won't lay eggs in the garage because my car may make to much noise for her and for my bedroom; it is vacummed and that could cause the queen to not lay eggs. The only option I have is to keep my queen in my bedroom but sweep it instead of **** it

if you keep her in a drawer she should be fine if you really are worried you can put her in like a shoe box with padding

They are fine with minor vibrations. They do live underground, and a lot of stuff causing vibrations and such. Dont worry too much about it. Keep them warm, keep them fed (as stated elsewhere, I like to make sure my queen are fat and full. Make them less likely to eat their eggs. They all love honey..organic local honey. Generally only feed fully claustrual queens once a month)
Beyond that. Not much else matters. I bug my ants all the time, but they still lay eggs..I know I shouldn't but I love watching them. 5 out of 7 have laid eggs in the past week, no eggs have been eaten. 1 of the others is most likely not fertilized, the other is a carpenter ant so I don't expect eggs for at least another month.

Dont fret too much about it sir! They are durable creatures! As long as they are full, warm, and have water they will be fine.

I wouldn't recommend feeding clasuteral queens, as this disturbs them and creates mold in their test tube.
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Definitely can disturb them, from what I have seen (in my limited experience) it is worth it.

The mold is a good point. Make sure to only give them a little bit of food at a time, so they can finish it. Also remove the remains within a few days. Of course if it does get moldy you can always set it up so they move out. They WILL move if it becomes too moldy for them.

With all of my fully-clausteral queens without workers, I only gave honey. Takes quite a while to mold, and the queens ate ALL of it, cleaned it so there was nothing left. I gave smallish drops to each and they all ate it all. Looked great after eating. I do give them organic local honey, not the crap honey. Not sure how much of a difference that makes in molding and how much they ate.

if i were to feed a queen (which i don't) i would only feed her once at the beginning when she has no brood. The only other time is if she is re-founding like a third time. also if you caught a queen from a mature colony I would feed her
