Hibernation temperature

Hibernation temperature
So I have a tetramorium queen and a worker hibernating (I think) in a test tube currently in my room where it is 68 degrees (F). I have them there because in my basement where they used to be it’s 20 degrees so I’m afraid they might die. So should I move them back into the basement to make them hibernate better or keep them in my closet?

Its a bit late to put them back in hibernation. Generally you want to keep them above freezing (probably between 35-50). I kept mine in a closet outside, then wrapped in a towel (with space for air to get out) and they did fine. However I have already taken mine out of hibernation.
68 is definitely too high for good hibernation. They will try to hibernate though, and slow down. However at this point, already feb and warming up, no point to force them in there. So I would recommend taking them "out" of hibernation at this point. Make sure you feed them because they probably burned more calories due to the heat.
Does anyone have a solid reason to force them this late into hibernation?
