Sorry for only having one photo. This ant is a Solenopsis Invicta. I just want to make sure her eggs are still looking good. She laid these eggs I think it's been either 4 or 5 weeks ago. They appeared to be growing for a while. Now they just seem to be getting darker yellow though. Once again sorry for only having one photo but it was the best I could do with my phone and considering how she doesn't leave that spot since the metal mesh behind her is filled with water I don't think she's planning on leaving that spot anytime soon.

On a side note, the formicarium I have her in has a minor problem, and the company is sending me a replacement one that should be here Monday. Any suggestions on how to move her and the eggs to a new formicarium without creating irreversible problems? Thanks for all help.

Ok so firstly I couldn't even find the queen in the pics. I assume that that little splotch of cream color is the eggs. Brood color varies. When the pupae is about to eclose, it gets darker and darker. Your brood is probably fine. As far as moving her go, I would really encourage you to put her in a test tube setup instead of a formicarium for now. You can move her into the formicarium when she has 25-50 workers.

consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
