Hello,
I have 3 very young colonies (20 to 30 workers each) of Tetramorium ants. I have been wondering what to do with them as winter approaches (insert photo of Ned Stark). Will my ants go into hibernation, and if they do, what should I do with them to assist them in hibernation? Or, do ants in the Bay Area stay warm enough for that not to be an issue?
Thank you to anyone who can share a little knowledge.

Tetramorium doesn't really need hibernation as they are native to tropics/subtropical regions where they don't need to hibernate. Also, ants in the bay area don't hibernate, as it stays warm enough for ants to not hibernate. They may slow down though, but they can be kept at room temperature and don't need to hibernate. Hope this helps!
