I have an I. purpureus queen with a small batch of brood. Do I wait until she has workers before I feed her or can I feed her now?

I have an I. purpureus queen with a small batch of brood. Do I wait until she has workers before I feed her or can I feed her now?

So, I'm pretty sure those guys are claustral, meaning you'll need to wait until about a week after the workers arrive before you can give them any food.

Roger that. She doesn't have any workers yet but here larvae are growing nicely. Hopefully in a week or two there will be workers.
