Lasius neoniger question

I caught about 19 Lasius neoniger queens last week. I'm not expecting them to lay until the spring, so I've put half in the fridge already, planning to take them out at the end of January. The other half I still have out with my colonies.

Should I be providing any food for these queens before they go into diapause? I was thinking of keeping them out for another 3-4 weeks maybe...

No, Lacius neoniger is one of the most “fully clustral” species out there, they lays their eggs the following year. Happy anting!
Keeping:
Formica subsericea: 10 workers
Tetramourium Immigrans: 12 workers
solenopsis molesta: 25-30 workers
