Newly found ant colony feeling shy? They're not touching the food.

2 days ago my formica ant colony finally started. I currently have 3 workers and a quuen. First, I put honey in the pseudo outworld that i made (just a container attached to test tube) and they are not coming out. Next, I tried to put baby roach (very small) and tried to put it in the outworld to see if they will take it, they didn't. The question is, should I put either the honey or the baby roach inside the test tube setup?

thanks for future replies

Put honey and they will be a little shy because they are new and they’re exoskeleton is not done hardening. They will become more active in about a week.
Keeping:
Formica subsericea: 10 workers
Tetramourium Immigrans: 12 workers
solenopsis molesta: 25-30 workers

Ok thanks guys, I will put drop of honey inside the test tube since they won't come out. I'll leave the roach as is except if it starts to harm the colony.
