Camponotous Diet
I have a young camponotous americus colony with only seven workers, this is my first colony and at this stage I am wondering what and how often i should feed them. I gave them a cricket leg wwhich they accepted and some honey in the outworld, aswell as some cracker crumbs, but they dont seem to be accepting them, can anyone help?
Re: Camponotous Diet
Stick to diluted honey or sugar water for sugar, and feeder insects like the cricket leg for protein. This is a good diet, but consider also switching up their protein a bit by providing them with some other insects as well, like fruit flies.

No. not solely. You may ***** some fish food, but their protein should mainly consist of insects.
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
