I just got my first ant.
I had no hope of catching one this year, So i bought a Lasius niger queen with 5 workers and a couple of eggs.
Should i feed them or let them forage now? Or should i leave them in the test tube for longer?
Should my anta forage now?

Ram a 1 inch piece of drinking straw between the exit cotton and the side of the tube. this acts as a little tunnel for the ants to go in and out of. then place the setup in an outworld and provide food there.
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Thank you.
I have now made a foraging area for my ants and put a crickit leg and some drops of sugar water in there.
