Ponera Pennsylvannica hibernation?

I have a Ponera Pennsylvanica with at least one larvae at the moment. I don't know if she has more due to a sand substrate I'm providing her.

However, I'm not sure if her species hibernates. She is my first semi-claustral species. Does anyone know if this species hibernates?

Is the ant native to the country you live in, then this question: are the winters in your country cold or not and I also heard that if it's a tropical ant you don't hibernate it. That's my advise, I'm very sorry if my advice has killed your queen. You can wait for advice of a real pro. It's your choice.

Love to help, Brentywenty :D
