The title says it all.
Are there any certain species of ants that can share a single formicarium? I know most species would fight to the death and die, but i was hoping maybe that certain species wouldn't. BTW, this doesn't include slave makers.

There are probably combinations out there, but this is kind of an advanced topic. You might have species combinations that get along well in the foraging area, but things may change if one colony gains access to the nest of the other. I would say that ants which tend to fulfill this niche in the wild (i.e. Leptothorax, Solenopsis thief ants, possibly Aphaenogaster) may be worth exploring, but I'm not saying anybody should throw these into a foraging area with another species.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
