Feeding Question.

This might be a silly question but we were just wondering if there was an ideal time to give food to our ants. During morning to give them the day to scavenge and eat? Or evening when they start to become more active?

We also recently bought some local peaches. Someone mentioned offering the ants fruit, are peaches 🍑 okay? Or would something like apples be better because they won't spoil as quickly.

What ever is most convenient for you. As far as fruit, see what they like, colony's are sometimes different in taste. Just take it out as it spoils and don't put in to much and they might eat it all before it spoils. :D
With all the things ants can do, you wonder, who rules the planet :?

Thanks, we'll try. The peaches are super sweet and juicy so we hope they'll like it. 😊

You can always run a test by putting small piece of fruits or whatever you are offering to your colony and see what they prefer. The no of ants on them will give you the answer of your second question.

We fed them a little piece of a peach this morning. Only one of Queen #2's workers came out. But she's been there for a couple of hours.
