Need ideas for outworlds

I am on a low budget and need ideas for outworlds. I leaning towards just buying a ton of the cheapest critter keepers i can find :D Thx for any ideas!
With all the things ants can do, you wonder, who rules the planet :?

I just usually put a plant or rock with some sand of any color so the ants dont dig in it, it's a lot cheaper than getting grout
