I have a small crematogaster cerasi colony that is in a tiny moldy test tube and I am trying to move them into a AntsCanada test tube. How should I do it?

Here's what I mad to do it. Its a small piece of tubing with a little rectangle attached buy one side cut out of the middle. I stuff the cut with cotton and the attached piece holds it firmly in the hole. The cotton allows air flow. My test tubes fit snugly in the tube but if yours don't you can fill the gap with cotton around the tube.

Thank you so much! What about food and water? If it takes them a while to move between tubes how do you feed them and let them have access to water?

I usually put a drop of honey in the connecter. They will not need water because the new tubes water will tempt them into moving :D

The problem with the water is that they love the dry areas. Should I put a light on their current test tube?

I would just cover up the new one and leave it under a light that gives off no heat. Or simply place it in a room that will always have a light on :D
