Hi, I have a Myrmica Sp. ant queen. Now I know that its a semi chlusteral queen, and I have given her honey, in wich she seemed to eat (she was much more energetic in the morning, plus she had put dirt over it) but I dont know if thats what you sould feed!?! And how may times a week? Is aphids a good snack for her? (I have an ant colony outside who tends aphids :) )

Thanks for ALL imput, on how you feed your ants and so on. <3

Here is a picture of her:

The aphids might not be the best idea, simply because they are probably well-defended. If you are able to buy from a pet store, those will work best.

Usually any small bugs work like pill bugs, mealworms, superworms, crickets and worms. It depends on the speicies what type of bug it likes the best also give her a little honey or sugar water.

Fruit flies and small spiders are perfect as they have soft skin. If you feed mealworms or beetles I'd cut them in half.
