One egg?
So this weekend I went for a little getaway. I came back today to discover that my Camponotus nearcticus queen laid only one egg. I thought they lay eggs in batches but could be wrong. Is this normal? Also she is a very active queen that always moves around.

I don't understand why such emphasis was put on "batches" in the AntsCanada video. I'm guessing it was just to calm the nerves of people whose queens were not laying after hibernation. Eggs come out one at a time.
