Feisty Queen?

So I checked on my Camponotus nearcticus queen today and noticed that she pulled some of the cotton of the cotton ball and left it fluffed out in the tube. Should I attempt to remove it?

The funny thing is that I moved her into a test tube setup and she did the same thing.
