I have only really heard of this working out in the desert. It's better to just find a queen above ground.

The ants in your area are not desert ants, and would not create distinct founding chambers like in the desert. The ant season is only beginning -- you'll be able to find plenty of queens above ground, the easy way.XxStrongHeroxX wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2017 11:41 pmmy yard is sand so im close enoughBatspiderfish wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2017 11:39 pmI have only really heard of this working out in the desert. Camponotus will sometimes fly at night, but they fly during the day too.

I must ask if you know anything about Camponotus castaneus flights? That's one of the two other species I want. They are very beautiful. Of course I have looked at all the nuptial flight sheets and so on but was wondering if you've had any personal experience or know anyone that has with this species close to my location possibly.Batspiderfish wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2017 11:54 pmCamponotus will sometimes fly at night, but they fly during the day too.
