So I have recently caught 2 pheidole queens and I've been told that some pheidole species are polygnous and some are not. I'd love to have a multi queen colony as it would boost its growth and chance or survival. But is it worth the risk? I do have 9 queens currently so it wouldn't leave me queenless but it'd be unfortunate.
Any advice or thoughts?

You'd be doing this for you, not the ants.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.

I guess that's true, I'd rather not be a stupid "human" and stuff up a poor animal/s life for my own entertainment and curiousity. I'll leave them seperate.
