Just wait for workers! That is the only way.XxStrongHeroxX wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2017 3:47 pmhow do i know that a solenopsis invicta queen is fertile
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

That's pretty much all you can do LOL. I have a camponotus clean that I was unsure if she was fertile or not. Just have a little patience and if she is you'll see soon enough it's a great feeling catching a queen from the beginning and watching it all from the start.

they are all laying eggs

Yea the only way you'll know is when you have some workers enclose. Big thing is just leave the Queens alone for about 2-3 weeks without peeking, I know it's hard but if you stress them out there is always the chance they will eat the eggs. Patience is a virtue you must have when working with ants and that goes double when your starting a new colony from a single queen.

I made the mistake myself with my first queen of peeking like every other day lol so I learned the hard way. You will do best to take the advice to heart when leaving her alone for awhile. It is hard especially if its your first. I'm only on my third colony (one of witch is wild caught...roughly 20 workers when I caught them) so its still hard for me but I know outcome will be much worth it.MadVampy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2017 7:19 pmYea the only way you'll know is when you have some workers enclose.
