I have a aphaenogaster colony from a single queen that I found in November last year, they now have 7 workers.
However, the queen seems isolated from the workers and also rushes to the entrance of the test tube when disturbed (like when I feed them.) her faster is also very small now and has shrunk. Even more then when she was in founding.
Is there anything going wrong here?

Re: Queen not eating well
Is she stressed out? My queen ant also rushes to the entrance when there is too much movement or light. Maybe try not to disturb them too much, but keep a close eye on the queen for unusual behavior.

Ok i did.
I only check on the colony every 2 days to feed them, the queen laid more eggs
There gonna have 8 workers soon, gonna leave them be for now.
