My ants are dying

Hey so I received an AntsCanada test tube portal. But when I attached that tetramorium colony to it the workers explored it but they could not find there way back and died. The ant colony has 20 workers. Do you have any ideas to fix this problem?

I have the same species of ants and workers. I also put them in a test tube connected to the portal. They don't seem to have a problem with it. Can you send a picture?
