Hey so I fought a queen during nuptial flights and from what I’m seeing she seems to be a red carpenter ant. Is there a way I specifically should be taking care of them compared to a basic carpenter ant colony?

She just had her first nanitic and I’m pretty sure it’s a red carpenter ant I’ll post a pic.

But yeah anything I should know about that type of camponautus?

I'm not sure what you mean by red carpenter ant, but the care should be the same.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
