My ant queen died!!
Hey uh my queen died. I’ve had her for a year and she had workers and brood. What do I do now? She is a camponautus queen (don’t know the specifics but I don’t know what to do now and I need help

Depending on the species you can introduce a new queen of the same species and hope they accept it.
Even if you don't know what species they are and still find a new same species queen, try introducing her to the nest. If you can't do that, it's entirely up to you whether you want to keep them and let them die off or release them so they can see the outside world. (Personally the second option is better because maybe the workers can find and merge with an existing colony of the same species)

Hey thanks for that suggestion! I actually had a few queens I caught during this years nuptial flights and introduced her to my colony. So far it looks like they have accepted her into their colony and I’m hoping it helps!
