Is Oecophylla smaragdina a good starter colony ? I searched everywhere and all i found was Oecophylla smaragdina queens. I actually wanted some Paratrechina longicornis queens but i dont know when is their nuptial flight. Help??

I have no experience with Weaver Ants, however Mikey of AntsCanada has a couple videos about his colony. I'll link them for you. Hope they help!

What makes you think that they are O. smaragdina? Did you get them identified? They should be fine for a "starter species", as long as they are taken care of. Weaver ants need an arboreal setup, and AntsCanada has a video on this.

Colo, fixed your links for you :) You actually just want the end of the URL; the jumble of letters and numbers.
