What are the correct measurements of water and sugar?

Do you cold water/warm water or boiling water.

Just boil abit of water an let the sugar dissolve, then wait for it to cool. There are no measurements, enough water to keep it in liquid form and not too much sugar so when it cools its does not crystallize.
But dont mix allot as it ferments after a couple of days.

While we are on the subject, has anyone found a good BCAA substitute in the USA for the Honeydew surrogate recipe? I haven't been able to find liquid anywhere but I'm thinking of trying a GNC version that is plain powder in caplets. No colors or flavors or filler.
