I think it should be winter in Australia right now, ants should be hibernating right now if you're in the southern hemisphere.

I found a camponotus pennslyvannica queen, but she looked badly injured and her back legs don't work. I decided to put her in a test tube because I know she would surely die in the wild. I don't know if it would be worth it to keep her, or if she even has a chance of survival.

There's still a very small chance she will make it. I once injured a Crematogaster queen by mistake but she ended founding a colony successfully.Nico12 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 7:57 amI found a camponotus pennslyvannica queen, but she looked badly injured and her back legs don't work. Hi again. So that black and red queen settled down and now has like 5 workers. But now I'm wondering when I should hibernate my ants and for how long. I believe thier both Camponotus.
