is tetramorium hard to contain?

Hey so I was just kind of looking at what the forum antfarm yuku had to say about tetramorium, and I saw that they were saying that they were escape artists. Do you think that a layer of baby powder and alcohol will contain them? I'm hoping I don't have to buy fluon. The stuff is crazy expensive! But of course its more important to my family that the ants don't get out. Any tips would be appreciated! (even if it's just about keeping tetramorium ants in general)

but to answer your question, yes. i hear they are escape artists, similar to fire ants. if there is a weakness in your containment, they will exploit it.

Uh oh. thats not good. do you recomend that I keeep tetramorium then? I'm a beginning ant keeper. I have five tetramorium queens. also where do you get your fluon? I have only seen it as 30 dollars at the least.

naa, its ok. personally, i think ants that are good at escaping, are good to start with in a way. they teach you how to ant proof stuff. its all a learning experience.
