how to feed ants while on vacation
Soon I am going on a weeklong vacation and wont be able to feed my ants on a daily basis like usual. Does anyone know how I can keep them fed for the whole week while I am away? I already know that I don't have anyone available to be an 'ant sitter' who can care for them while I am gone and cant hire someone either. do I just give them a large amount of food at once or what? Anyone have any ideas? By the way the ants I care for are fire ants and there are not that many of them at the moment so they don't need much food.

The problem here is not food it is nest hydration. How is your nest hydrated? How often do you normally water it? I think you can leave a big pile of food but I am not sure, anyone else know about the food?

I just had a random idea, I will be starting a termite colony for my ants food. What if I put a chunk of wood full of termites in the out world and then the ants could catch them when they want.thescienceguy1980 wrote:I was trying to hang water from a string but could only come up with an ice cube idea ; ) hehe kidding.Solenopsisace wrote:Just a little .dont do that
