I just want to know why 1 is very calm and the other is not. Am i stressing the colony 1 because of all these keyboard clicking and mouse clickings?
I have two Formica colonies:
1: 4 Nanitics, 1 queen - very calm, don't eat that often (sugar not that much, protein not at all)
2: 2 Nanitics, 1 queen - Very energetic, eats sugar a lot (Sugar yes, they squeezed that jelly bean real good, protein not really)
set ups:
1: On my computer table, enclosed in a test tube set up connected to a small outworld with nothing.
2: Inside my closet, enclosed in small container and they are there as is.
More Info:
1 & 2 caught in the same area (Mississauga Canada).
1 started her colony earlier than of 2.
1 had 1 pupa die and 2 had 3-4 of eggs to not form.
1 and 2 are 1 month in captivity without any changes in their environment.
ty for future replies.

It's possible. Vibrations definitely can stress her out.tetriminoss wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2017 8:51 pmI just want to know why 1 is very calm and the other is not. Am i stressing the colony 1 because of all these keyboard clicking and mouse clickings?

Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
