Introducing Workers?

I recently read on another post that you can introduce captive workers using a queen's test tube sealed with a coffee filter, another open test tube for the workers to live in, and a tubberware. The person did this with Camponotus. Is it possible to do this with Crematogaster? Thanks in advance.

Hi Martialis,

I think your case may take some trial and error. I recently read in another forum, where a guy ran an experiment to introduce workers to a new queen. Well long story short, after several failures (queens dying), he ended up succeeding. Look at the image (after clicking the link) to see the happy ending, and check out the thread to see if maybe you will be able to achieve the same success.

(He tried various ways of introducing the workers, with only one way succeeding on page 2)

Lot's of luck,
Just Jamel

Thank you, but I think you may have forgotten to post the link. :)
