Problem with my Hybrid Nest

I have a pogonomyrmex hybrid nest I've been using for 5 months with my messor barbarus colony that is around 60 or 70 members now.
Well today I opened the nest to see the colony and I realised that they have made a hole in the mesh of the hydration system and the queen and some of the ants are now nesting below the nest where the hydration system is.
I can't understand how is this happing in a nest that is practically new and that is supposed to be perfect for messor as you say in the web. It was really expensive and i wasn't expecting this... im really disappointed.
I thought about trying to fix it somehow but... if I take the hydration system out the ants will go all over my place and the queen is in there maybe with eggs and i don't want to hurt her.

I really expect you to do something about this. I don't know what to do.
*I've tried to attach a picture of the hole but it won't let me.

Just wondering. Did this ever get figured out?

We don't use the mesh anymore with our new Hybrid Nests. We had occasional problems with it, like in this case, so we had to design something different.

Hi Ooper! I just came back to the forum after a few years and I'm excited to see that it is busy as ever! I also see there are a fair share of phony posts/advertisements. Sorry you guys have to deal with that. Has it steadily gotten more prominent or is this a sudden influx?

Spam posts fluctuate. We have to go in and manually remove them, along with the offending account. Yes, it is a pain :(
