can myrmica ants nest in lasius hybrid nest

i had a lasius ant colany but they died and i have a myrmica colany. i ordered the lasius nest before they died so i was wondering if it will still work. like can myrmica ants nest in the lasius nest?????

Yes, Myrmica will inhabit a Lasius-style nest. You should be fine.

That's a good question. The Myrmica I have seen would fit, but I suspect across the spectrum of Myrmica genus, there may be some that would have a hard time fitting. Do you know the size (length and girth) of your queen?

She is about the size of a campnotus novaboricensis worker.

Myrmica queens and workers are way smaller than Lasius queens.
