I want to get a hybrid nest for my Tetramorium colony. Is it absolutely necessary to glue the glass down? I'd like to be able to remove the glass in the future for cleaning and reusing, but gluing it down seems like it would make that not possible or at the very least, increase the likelihood of breaking the glass when trying to remove if it's glued down.
What have others done? Glue it down? Were you able to remove the glass still when a cleaning was needed?

Re: Glue the glass down?
Unless or ants are extremely small, that won’t be necessary.
Re: Glue the glass down?
So a species like Tetramorium would be fine without gluing? No issues with it slowly lifting if the ants get pieces of substrate under it?
Anyone that HAS glued able to answer my earlier questions?
