Moving your queen from test tube to test tube.

Ok so one of my starting colony's test tube has dried out to the point that I needed to mover them from one tube to another. I made a short video of it happening. I recorded the entire thing but the full video is 30 mins long, so this is just a small part.

Very cool video, every time that you have ants in the test tube you'll reach this point sometime?

Generally speaking, yes. The water supply runs out and you need to provide them a new test tube or formicarium. We like to suggest our Test Tube Portal to make this process easier. Just attach a new, clean test tube setup and you're done! http://www.AntsCanada.com/shop/ac-test-tube-portal/

The Test Tube Portal also makes it much easier to feed your growing colony and provides them a small outworld at the same time.

Scotch tape will definitely work - I've done it myself. Just a bit more of a pain to provide food. Some people worry about the ants getting enough air also when test tubes are taped together, but there are of course ways around that. Just poke a few holes in the tape right between the tubes.
