Hello,
I came across this queen today, and need help finding out what she exactly is. I believe that she is within the formica genus, but she also looks like she could be a camponotus. I found her after a pretty heavy storm. She actually walked in the back door of the building I work in. The area around the outside of the building is mostly concrete, and short grass. I live in Minnesota, and at the moment its fairly humid and hot (I don't know if that helps). This is my first queen, and at the moment I don't know a whole lot. Anything will help me out.

Oh hello!
Think you could post a pic of the head and the torso?
That would go a long way for both inquiries

I attached a picture. She also hasn't really done much, but I don't know how long it takes them to produce eggs..
