myrmica queens

Hello guys !
I've tried several times to start a myrmica colony
Every time we put a queen in a test tube and connected the tube to ourworld, each time the queens left the tube and started to walk through the outworld.
With all the species we tried all, I found death outside the tube
I want to mention I wrapped the tube in aluminum foil
Do you have any idea why?
