You don't need to feed them until the first workers are there. She will raise the first workers and will live of her fat reserves, so you don't worry about here starving.

yeah they can go for a good while without eating. dont stress, take your time. :mrgreen:

The queens I had went almost a year without food until her first workers finally hatched. I think they went about 9 months to be more exact. My ants are the kind the go dorment in winter before they lay their first eggs though. Only thing to worry about is moisture but you dont want too much.
