Food help

My first colony is just starting out and I have a few questions but first some background. They are RIFA and are currently in a test tube that I have placed in an outworld. There are about 12 workers and I can't tell how much brood because they have nested in the cotton ball. They also haven't explored the outworld as far as I can tell.

Now for the questions:
1) Should I start feeding them in the outworld?
I have been putting little bits of different things on parchment paper and sticking it in the test tube entrance.
2) How much should I be feeding them?
They seem to like honey water, crickets, fruit and even fish food. Can they handle a whole cricket?
3) How often should I feed them? Every day? Should there always be fresh food or is that overdoing it.

I have a nest currently being shipped so I will want to move them to it when it arrives.

Thanks for your time and all the help!

1. Yes! Feeding in the tube can induce mold growth.

2. Only around the size of a hind leg of a cricket right now.

3. Whenever you see them out foraging or once every few days.
