So a day after my ants moved into a new test tube, I saw them moving the eggs back to the old nest which is dry. What do I do?
shine a light on the old nest -- be careful not to fry them! light is useful and so is heat, but make sure it isn't too hot. Make sure to cover the new test tube and make it desirable for them.
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

It can take them awhile - I think a good way to look at it from the ant's perspective is that they don't see the new test tube as a new nest, but rather an "extension" of their current nest so they will keep using the old part of the nest as well.
